Learning’s hottest couple

We try not to take learning transfer too seriously! So for a bit of fun today – after flicking through Hello magazine, I’m keen to introduce you to learning’s hottest couple: Rita Reflection and Adam Action.

I never tire of saying that reflection is at the heart of great learning. Rita Reflection has at her core; insight, inspiration and motivation.

However, with the best will in the world, if reflection is not coupled with action – it gives us nothing.

Enter: Adam Action, who has at his core the attributes of moving forward, striking out and climbing obstacles. Put together Adam Action and Rita Reflection and what have you got? The best duo.

Although, sometimes we do need an Andrew Accountability to bridge the gap between Rita Reflection and Adam Action.

We often talk about reflection and accountability as the key to learning transfer, but perhaps we should instead be focusing on reflection, accountability and action? It’s the accountability that makes the action happen in many cases. Just think what could happen when the power three, Rita Reflection, Adam Action, and Andrew Accountability get together. The mind boggles!
