Come and join me in the Fishbowl!

What do I mean by fishbowl, you ask? It’s something I hadn’t heard of until recently either!

According to Google: “a fishbowl conversation is a form of dialog that can be used when discussing topics within large groups. Fishbowl conversations are usually used in participatory events like Open Space Technology and Unconferences. The advantage of Fishbowl is that it allows the entire group to participate in a conversation.”

The technique allows for a richer discussion of any given topic, and involves exploring a range of topics where participants are encouraged to contribute their views and join the Fishbowl throughout the session. What could be more fun than a fishbowl in learning!

I’ve been invited to join Charles Jennings and other panellists to openly discuss and share experiences and ideas at the PSK Performance Fishbowl Experiment in Sydney. Bring your views, questions and opinions and join your colleagues over breakfast where you will have the opportunity to network and participate in the discussion within the fishbowl. We’ll be discussing:

  • how businesses can leverage from technology to improve performance and productivity
  • if enterprise social networking is improving the way we communicate and share resources
  • what strategies can be used to translate the 70:20:10 methodology into organisations
  • what some of the challenges are facing our industry today

I’m sure we’ll have a topic on learning transfer too.

As the speed of business accelerates, so do the challenges that face professionals working in Learning and Performance, HR and Talent and Organisational Development and Change.

So don’t be a ‘fish out of water’ – register today as places are limited. Let’s begin exploring some of these ‘hot topics’ together!

  • Melbourne – Tuesday 1st March
