An Unconventional Approach to Self-Promotion Stepping Into It

I had a call last night with someone I truly admire in the Learning and Development space. They told me I was one of the world’s best-kept secrets and what I really needed was some unashamed self-promotion. Yikes! Really? Do I have to?

Being ‘well-known’ in our small part of the world as a Learning Transfer thought leader is one thing. But am I sharing the results? The outcomes? Am I highlighting what we specifically do to make a difference to learners and organisations?

My team has been working on a promotional video for one of our services, the fabulous ‘M’. We were in AI Coaching, way before it was trendy! In fact, the initial prototype was created over seven years ago. True to my “best-kept secret” nature, I’ve been resisting posting the video on LinkedIn.

So here it is… I’m leveraging these fear emotions – which will only make sense to those involved in my passion project! If you want to support me in breaking the self-promotion barrier, please SHARE the post. It makes my stomach turn every time I think there’s a chance someone new might see it— could there be someone in the learning space ready to have their perspectives about learning outcomes challenged, their eyes pop wide open at a new level of data and insights, and be surprised and delighted by the thoughtful and specific use of AI to drive behavioural change as part of a learning program.

I’m ready, and I’m holding my breath.
