Straight Talk About Organisational Maturity

Are you fed up with attending great L&D events to hear the latest and greatest tips, tricks and solutions in the industry… only to struggle with implementation because your organisation wasn’t ready for it?

With the ever-increasing rate of change all around the globe, learning professionals have a responsibility to create real behavioural change and the desired business results.

Yet there’s no magic wand to achieve this.

One size does not fit all.

And no matter how amazing your new tools and ideas are, the reality is that quite simply, your organisation might not be ready to receive it.

Every organisation has a different level of learning maturity, which will affect the practicalities of various learning and transfer options.

I was lucky enough to share more on this topic at ATD 2018, and whilst I was there the ATD video team stole me away to reveal the different levels of maturity within organisations.

The different levels of maturity in organisations

Broadly speaking, there are 4 different levels of learning maturity in organisations; Traditional, Evolving, Progressive, and Trailblazer. These learning maturity levels have been developed based on a global learning transfer research survey that we conducted last year with contributors from 17 different countries. If you are an ATD member you can watch the video below to learn a little more about the different levels of maturity. If you’re not a member but you are really keen to see the video you could of course join the ATD – which I’m sure you would not regret.

Whether you are an ATD member or not – fear not – as TOMORROW I will also be running a webinar diving deep into organisational maturity.

In the webinar I will share how you can easily identify your organisation’s level of learning maturity and explain how this can enable you to make smarter, more informed decisions about your learning strategy.

Drawing from the latest global transfer research, I will guide you towards the most effective learning transfer solution for your organization.
