May 2022 Newsletter

Hi to our Lever community,

What a great start to the year! Hope you have been looking after yourselves and are having fun getting stuck into your learning transfer for the first part of 2022.

I’ve just arrived in the UK a few days ago before flying to the Netherlands to do some client work. In case you’re wondering, behind me in the video is the Dunstable Priory which was founded in 1132, and in the 1500s was the site of Henry VIII’s annulment of Catherine of Aragon…. fascinating stuff for those who like a bit of history!

And on a more transfer-focused topic! I want to share with you a great article, that I connected with via Mike Taylors* newsletter this weekend that warmed my heart! It’s about the 12 Barriers to Implementing Learning Transfer** by Paul Matthews of People Alchemy in respect to what stops learning departments from putting learning transfer strategies into place.

I was concurring on almost every point. Paul is so right! And as he said, there’s an elephant in the room that people aren’t talking about and it’s time we really pull together to come up with some solutions and really start to deliver change that makes a difference to people.

In other news… drum roll…. we have some great news on a successful award application and a case study from some diversity and inclusion work that we have been doing which has been really rewarding. More on those soon. Promise!

Very best to everyone who is making some strides forward in learning transfer. Do reach out if we can support you at all – whether that’s Coach M, our human TLA team, or training for your teams. We’d be delighted to work with you to find a solution that’s right for you. And if you’re planning towards the end of the financial and want a quick turnaround – we can help!

Sending best wishes everyone. Here’s to creating great results from learning.

Em
