136km today! 720 complete in total 🙂

Blog posts have been lacking recently as I have needed every bit of energy to cycle! We have had a couple of really, really huge days but the hardest part is done now. What a relief. Peter Baines who is the founder of Hands Across the Water spoke to us all this morning about the struggles that the kids at the orphanage have on a daily basis and it put the 136km on a bike today in perspective… That was until my legs nearly gave way at 128km!!! After packet of potato chips (for the salt!) and an electrolyte I just had enough left in the tank to get me to the hotel where the gorgeous littles ones had come from Home Hug to surprise us. We have very nearly made it – I think we deserve a beer tonight!
No photos today as I have stopped carrying my phone with me in the day – keeping additional weight to the minimum… However Nickie is absolute doing a sterling job on the blog with wonderful photos – thanks roomy 🙂
