Day 1 complete! 86km down 724km to go

It was a nervous beginning 🙂 the months of training were put to the test today and I’m pleased to report all good… In fact I’ve loved it. Great to be riding in a group, chatting along the way passing the most beautiful fields, villages and temples. The Mekong was meandering or should that be we were meandering by the Mekong! We’ll become much more familiar with it each day. After 85km and hot showers we’re now all set updating blogs and Facebook trying to work out exactly where we are!!! 85km from Nong Chai is the best guess so far…
One picture taken today Craig and I before we are we set off – forced smile as I wondered what exactly it was going to be like… Genuine smile now that will be getting bigger each day I hope as we track towards the kids… More soon.
