The "Who Coaches the Coaches" Episode, Part II The LDA Podcast: An Exploration of Evidence-Informed Approaches to Learning and Development

Talking all things coaching with the LDA team AGAIN :)- podcast episode ‘The Coaches coach! Part II

Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to join again Clark Quinn and Matthew Richter on the LDA podcast to discuss the fascinating world of coaching. This is already part 2 of the conversation so if haven’t listened to the first one, you can check this blog.

In this second part, we focused on the importance of coaching quality and methodology over the coach-coachee relationship. I share the framework we use at Lever to assess coaching skills and we’ve created a free-download for those who want access to the rubric. The conversation emphasised the need for coaches to trust coachees’ problem-solving abilities and avoid imposing solutions.

We also touched on the challenges managers face transitioning into coaching roles and the necessity of high standards in coaching practices. And of course I couldn’t resist exploring integrating AI technology into coaching, as a coaching tool itself and a tool to help us improve the quality of coaching.
